Property Details
A refreshing drink and cool towel welcome you to your abode at the Tangulia Mara Camp. Six tents are hidden under a canopy of trees, and each is raised on flat stone atop a rocky hill. Choose from a double or single bed tent, with an en-suite bathroom, and personal stone verandah. Lighting is provided by solar power, keeping the camp’s eco footprint to a minimum.
Enjoy breakfast and lunch out in the bush, a truly memorable meal. Fellow adventure-seekers meet in the mess, a living room and dining area covered with a thatched roof. Nibble on a piece of cake with a cup of coffee in the afternoons. It’s these small touches of the everyday that give the sense of home at Tangulia Mara Camp.
Guests will get a closer experience with the Masai culture, beliefs, and knowledge of the land when staying at camp. These proud people welcome guests with warm hospitality.
A drive around the Musiara Marsh is always rewarding. Home to a healthy number of animals, this is a place where big cats roam. During the migration it is also a prime spot to see nature’s mighty movement across the Mara River. The Olotulo Murt salt lick is another popular spot for the wildlife to gather.
Be the first to point out lion cubs feeding, roaming rhinos, and lots of elephants. Despite the vastness of this expanse, the lions still feel like king of the land. Zebras dash by and giraffes crane their tall necks as you sip a sundowner. It will feel like you have been dropped into an exotic slice of heaven populated only by animals.
A guide takes you for a walk along the escarpment to point out the flora and fauna. When the dark grey clouds rumble over the grassy savannah, sometimes a rainbow emerges from the brooding skies. It only makes the scene even more spectacular.
