Aldourie Castle is a historic private estate on the shores of famed Loch Ness. Built by the Dunbar family in 1626, this exclusive-use mansion is ready to transport guests into their own Scottish fairytale.
Secluded and surrounded by Highlands beauty, the turrets and towers of Aldourie Castle stand out against the forested landscape. This fabulous former home and its 500-acre waterfront estate is offered on an exclusive-use basis, perfect for a gathering of families and friends. Local caretakers and guides are constantly within reach, and their only request is that guests take full advantage of the castle as if it were their own private home.
Decked in rich fabrics and traditional splendor, the 15 bedrooms of the castle are each fit for royalty. Spread across the top two floors of the home, most accommodations are en suite and all vary in size and floorplan. Elegant four-poster beds are swathed in velvet and each room is decorated in its own distinct style and colors, with personalities that range from classic to eclectic. Four two- and three-bedroom cottages are also located on the estate, tucked away from the main house and available individually or as additional accommodation to the castle.
A Michelin-trained chef crafts all meals from local ingredients that celebrate the unique game and flavors of the region while appealing to a variety of tastes and individual needs. Take meals family-style in the grand dining room, visit the wine cellar to taste fine wines, sample scotch in the drawing room, or embark on a picnic on the grounds. Beyond the gracious home, hiking through the Highlands and fishing in Loch Ness are among the many activities guests can enjoy. The staff and local guides are eager to share their home with visitors, and are never short on Scottish hospitality.Request Information
