Say goodbye to big box style hotels. Villa Barranco is the complete opposite.
From the outside, Villa Barranco looks like a pretty, turquoise home surrounded by vibrant bougainvillea tumbling down its white wall.
The charming 1920’s home has been restored with so much care. The first floor features two spacious rooms and four suites. Some of these even have their own garden. A twisting staircase leads to the second floor’s three suites’. Their balconies and terraces are private retreats decked out with chaise lounges and views of the ocean and palm trees. Cozy, wooden floors meet creamy walls that reach to the high ceilings. Fall into the lounge chair and read a book as the sun filters in from the double glass doors. Colorful penny tiles, white subway tiles, and freestanding tubs give the en-suites a vintage touch. Persian rugs and throws add a punch of color. But it is the quirky knick knacks like the antique medicine bottles, wooden sailboats, and telescopes, that add a whimsical touch.
Fresh sea breezes are never far. You will feel like you have escaped to a friend’s summer home. The intimate feeling will wrap you in a cocoon of comfort.
