Against the backdrop of old castles, Edinburgh shines bright in October and November. The light reflecting off Edinburgh Castle, which stands at the top of the city, is literally golden. That, combined with the crisp and cool autumnal air creates an almost magical feeling walking through the old town. Hraunfossar Waterfalls, Iceland
The Hranunfossar Waterfalls formed after a volcanic eruption created a hardened lava field. The result is a 3,000-foot stretch of both large and small cascades and waterfalls in the shadow of the Langjökull glacier. In the Autumn season, especially between late September and October, this area comes alive with color and is a photographer’s dream. The bright colors of the changing trees paired with the black lava field, bright blue water, and green moss creates a stunning sight.
Seoul, South Korea
October is one of the best times to visit South Korea. Not only are the temperatures extremely pleasant, but the cities and countryside come alive with color. From Seoraksan National Park to Changdeokgung Palace to Asan Gingko Tree Road, South Korea is bursting with picture-perfect color. And not only are the warm fall colors abloom, but the vibrant pink color of the muhly grass fields in the ancient capital of Gyeongju is a site to behold.
