Itinerary Description:

Argentina's capital city, Buenos Aires, is your first stop, with its wealth of history and melting pot of cultures yours to explore on city tours and in a cabaret tango show. Continue just north of the city to San Antonio de Areco and the charm of the countryside and the gaucho way of life. Explore the undulating pampas from La Bamba de Areco, a hotel housed in one of the oldest estancias in the region.

Next, travel to the foothills of the Andes and Salta, a town known for its distinct "Spanish" architecture and influence. Discover the sleeping children of Llullaillaco at the High Mountain Archeology Museum in Salta City, and more pre-Incan roots in tiny villages in Humahuaca Gorge.
