The Zambezi River breathes life into the region with a wealth of activities. Guests of Royal Chundu can try their hand at canoeing or fly fishing along the river banks. Alternatively, they can take a relaxing sunset cruise. During the cruise, they will undoubtedly keep their eyes peeled for hippos, crocodiles, African fish eagles, egrets, and herons. Another opportunity to scout the region is offered via a mokoro ride to a nearby village. During this excursion, a private guide provides an introduction to the local customs and traditions. Dining at Royal Chundu is an exclusive and unforgettable affair. Guests dine on traditional Zambian dishes made from fresh, local ingredients in the intimate outdoor boma. Sustainability remains at the forefront of the property’s cuisine. Produce comes from the local Mushekwa village, while the fishermen of Muluka bring in the local catch. Therefore, the food is always healthy and fresh. Additionally, the tablescapes feature a colorful assortment of chitenge fabric, bringing a touch of local cheer to the experience.

Royal Chundu is a family-friendly accommodation. As such, the Children’s Club welcomes kids of all ages with scheduled daily programs. Royal Chundu is also proud to be Zambia’s first Relais & Châteaux member.
