Itinerary Description:

A seven night cruise is the perfect way to explore the wonders of ancient Egypt at your leisure. Add to that amazing sightseeing in Cairo, the capital city, and you have one of the most memorable journeys of a lifetime.

Spend your first few nights in luxury at the Four Seasons First Residence in Cairo. From here, you will explore with your highly qualified Egyptologist guide the Great Pyramids at Giza, the mysterious Sphinx, and the ancient capital of Memphis along with its vast burial grounds at Sakkara. The next day, travel forward in time to explore a more modern Cairo, still steeped in history, with a tour of the Egyptian Museum, the Saladin Citadel and Alabaster Mosque, and the bustling Khan el Khalili Bazaar.

Next, fly to Luxor to board the magnificent Oberoi Zahra cruise liner for your exploration of the ancient ruins of Egypt. You will begin with a tour of Karnak Temple and the Luxor Museum on your first day. The next day, transfer to the West Bank to explore ancient Thebes and the Valley of the Kings. In the afternoon, you will have a private visit to the temple of Dendera.

On day six, visit the Tombs of the Nobles, Dier El Madina, and the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the only Egyptian queens to rule as pharaoh. The afternoon features a visit to Luxor Temple. Day seven takes you to Edfu, where you will stop at the Temple of Horus at Edfu.

On day eight, you will sail to Aswan to visit the famous Aswan High Dam and the Philae Temple, and day nine features a tour of Kom Ombo, the twin sanctuaries of Sobek and Haroeris, or Horus the Elder. That afternoon, you will sail by felucca to the lush Botanical Gardens before a spectacular sound and light show at Philae Temple.

In the morning on day ten, you will have the option to visit Abu Simbel, and in the evening, there will be a special reception at Mango Island before your last dinner. On day eleven, you will head to the Aswan Airport for your flight to Cairo where you will spend a relaxing evening at the Fairmont Towers Heliopolis before your international flight the next day.
