Oliver’s Camp in Tarangire National Park, Tanzania comprises 10 beautiful tents featuring solid wood furnishings and wonderful décor. The tents each have en suite bathrooms with flush toilets and open-air showers from which to enjoy the stunning Tarangire sky.

Guests are invited to join the Oliver’s Camp family as soon as they set foot in camp. The team here has been together for many years, and they are delighted to share their knowledge of the park and its inhabitants. The expert naturalists can not only find you a resident lion pride but can also point out the individual pride members and explain their characteristics and habits.

In addition to game drives, Oliver’s Camp is most well known for its walking safaris. For many years, walking was not allowed in Tarangire, but the camp has taken full advantage of the park authorities’ decision to allow excursions on foot. Your guide and ranger will assure that you will be very safe as the point of a walking safari is not to disturb the animals, but to be able to observe their natural behavior. Walking is usually done in the mornings for half the day, but longer excursions can be arranged.
