Property Details
Olakira Camp in Serengeti National Park is an intimate camp, featuring nine guest tents and two common area tents. Each private space includes a comfortable bed, en suite bathroom, and private veranda from which to enjoy in-camp game sightings and amazing views of the Serengeti. Tents are designed with mesh panels which, when uncovered, offer a 270-degree view of the endless night sky and fields of twinkling stars. Families are welcome and are accommodated in a family tent with additional beds and a little extra room to rest and relax.
The common area at Olakira Camp has two open tents, one of which is a lounge with comfortable seating and peaceful views. Delicious, quality cuisine is served in the dining tent, crafted with fresh ingredients that nourish before and after days of activity. Your meals can be arranged on your private veranda or under the Serengeti stars.
From December to March, Olakira Camp is based next to the water’s edge on Lake Masek in the Ndutu region of the southern Serengeti. During this time, the annual migration of herbivores takes over the plains to give birth to the next generation. From June to November, the camp moves north. From this location, guests can participate in hot air balloon safaris over the plains and can even witness exciting river crossings without leaving camp.
The migration in the Serengeti is always changing and moving. No matter the region or the time of year, your encounters with wildlife at Olakira Camp will be unforgettable.
