Etosha National Park is one of Namibia’s prized public lands, with 114 mammal species, 340 bird species, 110 reptile species, 16 amphibian species and one species of fish. Mushara Outpost in Etosha, Namibia brings old-fashioned hospitality and classic style to the park, just a few miles from the Von Lindquist Gate. This Etosha luxury safari lodge has eight custom-designed tents, housing up to 16 guests. The small size and the lodge’s location near the entrance give it an ideal mix of privacy and accessibility.

The main house at Mushara Outpost is in the style of an old farmhouse, celebrating simplicity and lightness. High ceilings and ample natural light give the house a spacious and hospitable feeling, so guests feel welcome to sit and stay a while, chatting with other guests, or enjoying the view from the large, wrap-around veranda. The atmosphere at Mushura Outpost is laid-back and accommodating for a relaxing evening repose after a day of game viewing, trekking, and exploring the park.

Each tent sits on a wooden deck more than four feet above the ground, positioned under the shade of indigenous trees. Tents all have large, sliding glass doors so that you can enjoy the view of the bush at all times.

The room is sparsely decorated with an open floor plan to allow the tranquility of the surrounds to take center stage. The “glass cube” outdoor shower is surrounded by a zippered canvas, allowing you to decide how much of the al fresco shower experience you wish to enjoy. Private verandahs are the perfect place for an evening drink watching the nightlife of the bush come out to hunt and play.

All tents are equipped with electricity, mosquito netting, and air-conditioning to maximize your comfort and allow you to rest up for another day of exploration. Wireless Internet access is available in the tents and the common area, and the staff is dedicated to personalized service so that you can enjoy the park without concern.
