Set inside the Skoura Palmerie, Les Jardins de Skoura is an oasis within an oasis between the mountains and the Sahara. French-inspired styling has transformed this old mill into a resplendent retreat on the cusp of the Atlas foothills.
Property Details
Colorful gardens with flowering vines and olive, apricot, pomegranate, and fig trees surround the hotel’s traditional buildings. Each of the eight rooms is decorated in its own unique style with colorful wall hangings, lanterns, handmade furniture, plush cushions, and other Berber accents. En suite baths are crafted of tadelakt and hammered copper and stocked with sensuous Argan oil amenities. Thick walls repel the summer heat and the fireplace in each abode creates warmth and romantic ambiance in the winter. With access to a private patio, like in a riad, your room also offers a private en suite bathroom, cozy bed linens, and wireless Internet access.
Accented by large open fireplaces, the dining room is a spacious and inviting place to sample the excellent Moroccan and Mediterranean dishes. Head to the roof terrace for a private dinner and take in the spectacular views of the Atlas. Private dinners can be arranged in any intimate space in the gardens or around the hotel.
Relax indoors and sip mint tea in the hotel library, or browse the handicrafts and Argan oil products on offer in the boutique. Outside, the large swimming pool is a perfect place to relax in warmer months and a stroll through the fragrant gardens is a pleasant activity year-round. Trips into the desert for dune bashing or tours in the Atlas can also be arranged for those with a sense of adventure.
