Originally built as a summer house in the 19th century for a Russian Prince, Cap Estel wasn't converted into a hotel until the 1950s. The secluded hotel is located on a peninsula in Côte d'Azur in the heart of the French Riviera between Monaco and Nice and offers guests a serene escape with sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Property Details

The 28 elegant rooms at the Cap Estel are spread between four mansions, each with spectacular views of land and the Mediterranean sea from private terraces. The Cape is the main mansion, originally built in 1889, with accommodations on four floors. The Sea features three bedrooms overlooking Cap Estel’s private beach and the bay of Cap d’Ail, while the Corniche opens onto the hillside gardens and boasts panoramic views of the sea. The Park overhangs the sea with views of Bealieu-sur-Mer and St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat on the other side of the bay.

Enjoy a stroll through the landscaped gardens down to Cap Estel’s private beach for a dip in the cool water, or choose to swim in either the indoor or outdoor swimming pools located on the grounds. The saltwater infinity pool has a view of the Mediterranean. A cinema, spa, and gym on the grounds make this the ideal family getaway, and kids are welcome and accommodated. Babysitting services are available.

In La Table du Cap Estel, the chef serves up local dishes with fresh, seasonal produce from the kitchen garden. The restaurants low-key décor and subtle finishes take the classic French approach to letting food speak for itself, but the best tables are those overlooking the water, where you can watch the sunset as you feast on its bounty.

The hotel is ideally located for a Riviera holiday, only a half hour from the airport in Nice, or a short 10 minutes from the Monaco heliport.
