Okuti Camp is the ultimate in great Botswana getaways. This camp has been designed in the style of an African village and is a delightful refuge nestled in the Moremi Game Reserve.
Okuti Camp is very intimate with only five comfy, twin bedded units and two family units with beautiful views over the lagoons and floodplains. Each unique structure is made of reeds, covered by an outer layer of canvas raised on platforms giving you spectacular views of the landscape. Freshen up in the inside and outdoor shower under the open sky. A flush toilet ensures you are living in comfort. Lovebirds stay in the honeymoon unit with a double bed, indoor shower, outdoor bath tub (perfect for stargazing with a glass of champagne).
Dip your toes in the plunge pool at Okuti, a welcome respite on a hot afternoon. A stork may come to hang out on the edge of the pool too. Mingle with guests in the dining area and gather around the open boma for traditional singing performances.
Okuti lies along the Maunachira River offering excellent game viewing on both land and water. You’ll find Botswana’s densest wildlife populations and encounter cheetahs and lions. If you’re lucky, you may spot an elusive leopard. Herds of elephants follow each other in the bush. There’s a lot of activity on the floodplains.
A blazing orange sunset will awaken your day. Have a cup of tea or coffee and then grab a yummy picnic basket to nibble on during an Okuti game drive with expert guides who can’t wait to show you around. Okuti game drives start early and last three to four hours. Visiting the Delta without going on the waterways wouldn’t be right. Spot the many birds, there’s heron and storks. Crocodiles swim in the lagoon. Hippos wandering from the river to munch on the land in the morning. Exploring the waterways is a very immersive experience.
When you return, clink your glasses at sundowners in the bush. Okuti is a remarkable experience in the wild.Request Information
