Okuti is the ultimate in great Botswana getaways. This camp has been designed in the style of an African village and is a delightful refuge nestled in the Moremi Game Reserve.
Okuti Camp is very intimate with only five comfy, twin bedded units and two family units. All chalets share the same beautiful views over the lagoons and floodplains. Each unique structure is made of reeds and covered by an outer layer of canvas. Raised walkways connect each platform, allowing wheelchair access. Freshen up in the indoor shower, or enjoy an outdoor shower under the open sky. Moreover, a flush toilet ensures you are living in comfort. Additionally, the honeymoon unit offers lovebirds an outdoor bath tub, perfect for stargazing with a glass of champagne.
Dip your toes in the plunge pool at Okuti, a welcome respite on a hot afternoon. Occasionally, a wandering stork may come to hang out on the edge of the pool with you. Mingle with human guests in the dining area or around the open boma for traditional singing performances.
Okuti Safari Activities
Okuti lies along the Maunachira River offering excellent game viewing on both land and water. Here you’ll find Botswana’s densest wildlife populations and encounter cheetahs and lions. If you’re lucky, you may also spot an elusive leopard. Herds of elephants follow each other in the bush, and there’s a lot of activity on the floodplains.
A blazing orange sunset begins each day in camp at Okuti. Wake up to a steaming cup of tea or coffee. Then grab a yummy picnic basket to nibble on during an expert-led game drive. Okuti game drives start early and last three to four hours. Of course, visiting the Delta without going on the waterways wouldn’t be right. Spot incredible birdlife from your safari boat, like herons and cranes. Crocodiles swim in the lagoon, while hippos wander from the river to feed on land. Needless to say, exploring the waterways is a very immersive experience.
After your boating safari, clink your glasses at sundowners in the bush. Okuti is a remarkable experience in the wild.Request Information
