Starstruck: Where the Celebrities Stay
Every now and then, celebrities jet off to escape being in the public eye, leaving behind their glamorous lives to enjoy a little downtime in luxurious locations around the globe. We can help you also feel like a star by planning a celebrity-style trip to one of these hot spots where the famous jetset have stayed.

Giraffe Manor
Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres’s trip to Kenya is far away and very different from the fame that surrounds her in Hollywood. But the real stars at Giraffe Manor are the animals that call the hotel grounds home. Long-necked friends will tuck their heads into the windows to take a peek (and maybe even a nibble) at your breakfast. They’re a wild and wonderful interruption to your meal, and Ellen loved them!

Blue Lagoon
Country crooner Reba McEntire won’t be singing the blues now that she has seen the Blue Lagoon. Iceland’s otherwordly landscape unfurls around the milky Blue Lagoon, known for its mineral-rich warmth. Taking a dip in the geothermal seawater is like taking a blissfully soothing bath.
Cannes, France
Cannes is synonymous with glitz and glam. Stars from around the globe elegantly descend on the city yearly for the Cannes Film Festival. France’s southern coast offers plenty of star-worthy vacation moments. Singer Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z took a break from their concert schedule to go on board a yacht and sail off into the Mediterranean, savoring a little French joie de vivre.
Italy
George and Amal Clooney have long had a love affair with Italy, and rightly so. The ‘boot’ is big on beautiful cities, delicious cuisine, seaside villages, and jaw-dropping scenery. But it is Venice and Lake Como that really caught the Clooney’s eyes. The floating city has a timeless allure that exudes romance, making it the perfect place for their dreamy wedding. The pair snatched up an 18th-century venue surrounded by botanical gardens, but you can walk a day in their shoes with a stay at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo. The Clooney attraction to Italy doesn’t stop there. Sardinia—Italy’s second largest island after Sicily—is also a getaway for the A-listers sailing their private yachts around the Costa Smeralda.

Botswana
When you are sleeping under the African night sky, the stars twinkle like diamonds. And it was a big sparkler that Prince Harry had in mind when he brought his lady love Megan Markle to Botswana to share his affection for Africa with her. It’s no surprise that the royal would want to get as far away as possible from the paparazzi, and Botswana is just the place. The southern African country may be sparsely visited by people, but it’s got a whole lot of wildlife; lions, leopards, and elephants just to name a few.

Bali
A tropical getaway is always a great way for a Hollywood star to escape the constant barrage of attention they endure back home. Bali’s lush jungles, green rice fields, and beautiful beaches will have anyone dreaming of a laid back life in bliss. Singer John Legend, model Chrissy Teigen, and David and Victoria Beckham are just some of the stars that have taken a trip to Bali, letting their hair down at luxe retreats. May we suggest you do the same at one of the stylish properties set in paradise?
Mumbai, India
Hollywood actor Will Smith took to Mumbai’s lively streets by rickshaw and jollied it up with Bollywood’s big screen stars. You don’t have to be a celebrity to get glammed up Indian style in one of Mumbai’s shiny saree boutiques before a night out at its fancy bars and restaurants. The city has a little for everyone with spicy Indian cuisine and sizzling sights, from the Gateway of India to the ancient, UNESCO-listed Elephanta Caves.
