Each year Ker & Downey employees work to provide mosquito nets to communities most in need in Africa. These insecticide-treated mosquito nets reduce the life-threatening effects of a mosquito bite and are saving lives across the continent. This year Ker & Downey has some exciting news regarding the distribution of the donated nets.
Our efforts at Ker & Downey to provide insecticide-treated mosquito nets for the people of Africa is an ongoing endeavor. What started as a small medical mission trip in the summer of 2009 quickly grew to something much more. With your assistance, our Nets for Africa program is able to provide thousands of mosquito nets each year to the communities most in need.
In an effort to keep a stock of nets in Uganda, and to aid in the distribution of nets, Ker & Downey has obtained some warehouse space in Mbale, Uganda. From there, we are able to donate and distribute insecticide-treated mosquito nets to local schools, orphanages, and villages most in need throughout the year with the assistance of our dear friend Aida.
Just recently, we were able to supply 300 nets each to the Uganda Home for Hope Foundation, a village in Namatala, and the School for Life Foundation in Katuuso. The School for Life Foundation sent the below photos from their net distribution a few weeks ago.
