Large windows frame jaw-dropping, sweeping vistas across New Zealand’s raw natural beauty. Try taking in the views of mountains and Lake Wanaka while soaking in a deep tub.

Rustic design incorporates locally-sourced materials with modern features. Stone walls, wooden ceiling beams, and a mostly earth toned color palette keeps the natural theme going. Eco-conscious travelers can learn about the sustainable farming practices and native bird breeding programs at this eco-sanctuary. The majority of the land surrounding the homestead has been protected; appropriate, since the name Mahu Whenua translates to “healing the land.”

Creative chefs whip up exceptional cuisine, prepared with local produce and served with wine selected from the premium wine cellar. Before dinner, canapes and cocktails help you wind down for an evening of leisure.
