Kauri Cliffs’ par 72 course snakes through the varied terrain of marsh, grass, and forest, with six holes played atop dramatic cliffs that drop straight into the sea. Guests who prefer sandy shores over sand traps can trek to one of three secluded beaches for swimming, lounging, and private barbecues arranged by lodge staff. Embark on excursions to local landmarks including Rainbow Falls and Tane Mahuta, New Zealand’s largest Kauri tree. Hunting, fishing, and clay pigeon shooting are also available for sporting guests, as well as several nature trails perfect for bird watching. Guests may also wish to take a cruise around the Cavalli Islands or board a helicopter for a scenic flight over the beautiful region.
