More Details

The wonder of Uganda, the “Pearl of Africa,” awaits the discerning traveler. Upon arrival, enjoy a night of rest at a lovely boutique hotel in Entebbe, situated on a peninsula in Lake Victoria, just south of Kampala.

Then begin your Uganda gorilla safari in Kibale National Park and your low-profile cottage at Crater Safari Lodge. Situated on the edge of a crater lake and a short drive away from Kibale, the lodge acts as your gateway to chimpanzee trekking in the national park.

The region offers a wealth of flora and fauna, including over 300 species of birds and 13 species of primates. Of course, it is perhaps most famous for the large population of chimpanzees. Trek through the habituated community nearby and explore the diversity of the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

Move on to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kyambura Game Lodge, perched on the edge of the savannah grasslands of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Find fantastic views as far as the eye can see over the park, the Rift Valley escarpment, and the majestic Rwenzori Mountains.

An excellent game viewing location, the area also offers some of the best bird watching in all of East Africa. While here, enjoy game drives and a boat ride along the hippo- and crocodile-crowded banks of the Kazinga Channel.

Then continue your exploration of Queen Elizabeth National Park with two nights at Ishasha Wilderness Camp. Situated inside the Southern Ishasha sector of the park on the Ntungwe River, you may see exciting animal encounters close to the tents.

Venture on game drives to explore the area’s different species. Look for the region’s tree climbing lions which you can usually spot resting in the branches of large fig trees nearby.

Finally, conclude your Uganda gorilla safari in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While here, you will spend several nights at the incredible Gorilla Forest Lodge.

This is Uganda gorilla safari heaven. Discover the mountain gorillas that call this forest home, as well as almost 350 species of birds, 200 species of butterflies, and more than 300 species of trees.

Of course, you will also trek the forest with your expert guide to visit the habituated gorilla groups, one of the most memorable experiences you can have on safari. This ending offers a sense of fulfillment and discovery that will fill your heart as you return home.
