More Details

This Czech Republic tour first begins in Prague, one of Europe's most beautifully preserved capitals. Upon arrival, a private transfer delivers you to your hotel at Fairmont Golden Prague, one of the finest luxury hotels in Czech Republic.

That first evening, a gentle guided walk through Prague's historical centre eases you into the city's timeless atmosphere. Highlights include a walk across Charles Bridge and a visit to the Prague Astronomical Clock and the Cathedral of our Lady. Also enjoy a welcome dinner at one of Prague's refined restaurants.

The second morning opens with a deep and unhurried exploration of Prague Castle. Your private guide leads you through St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, and the sweeping castle courtyards high above the city.

From there, Lobkowicz Palace offers an intimate perspective on Czech history. The visit then concludes at Strahov Monastery, home to the Strahov Library. Indeed, the library boasts one of the most extraordinary interiors of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Czech Republic.

Finally, your last day in Prague reveals a more layered and local side of the city. A private walk through the Old Town opens with quieter streets around Old Town Square. Then continue into the historic Jewish Quarter and Jewish cemetery where your guide brings centuries of stories to life.

The evenings, of course, offer the chance to partake in a variety of enriching activities. This includes a private river cruise, a classical music performance, or a curated dinner at one of the city's distinguished restaurants.

Departing Prague after breakfast, Czech Republic tours then head east through the Bohemian countryside to Kutná Hora. Indeed, this represents one of the most significant UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Czech Republic.

What's more, the remarkable Sedlec Ossuary and the magnificent Cathedral of St. Barbara form the centerpiece of your private guided visit. Following a relaxed lunch, the route continues south into the elegant landscape of South Moravia.

Here, vineyard estates, château grounds, and open countryside create a softer and more refined atmosphere. En route to the hotel, Lednice Château offers a striking introduction to the UNESCO-listed Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape. Explore its stunning gardens and castles before continuing onward to your hotel.

Upon arrival in Hlohovec, settle into Chateau de Frontière, one of the most distinctive luxury hotels in the Czech Republic. That evening, dinner at ESSENS, the château's one-Michelin-starred restaurant, marks an exceptional close to the day.

After a relaxed morning, your Czech Republic travel journey south combines vineyard landscapes, Renaissance heritage, and a fairy-tale arrival in Southern Bohemia. En route, stop in the Mikulov wine region for a private wine tasting. Indeed, this experience -- refined and unhurried -- offers a welcome pause before continuing onward.

From there, Telč, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, reveals structures from the 14th century and 18th century. As such, a guided walk and entry to Telč Château's interiors follow before the route continues south.

Upon arrival in Český Krumlov, a private evening walk through the medieval center delivers one of the journey's most memorable moments. After the daytime visitors have departed, a near-cinematic quietness make the town feel entirely your own.

This morning belongs entirely to Český Krumlov. With your private guide, explore the historic center, the castle gardens, and the town's most picturesque riverside corners. In addition, entry to Český Krumlov Castle's interiors provides deeper insight into the noble families who shaped this place.

Later, the return journey to Prague includes a stop in Holašovice, a small UNESCO-listed village celebrated for its traditional rural baroque architecture. Then, upon arrival back in Prague, settle into your hotel for a final evening in the capital.

A special farewell dinner at one of Prague's elegant fine dining restaurants brings this Czech Republic tour to a fitting close.

Of course, should you wish to extend the journey, Ker & Downey can seamlessly connect this tour package onward to Vienna, Budapest, or other destinations across Central Europe.
