Commence your exploration in Kathmandu, embraced by the vibrant spirit and gracious hospitality of the Nepalese people.

After an evening in Kathmandu at Dwarika's Hotel, you will be introduced to Nepal's most famous peak: Mount Everest. Fly over the spectacular summit en route to Pokhara, where the Ker & Downey Nepal team is waiting to being your first trek with you. Spend the next seven days trekking between the four comfortable lodges—Sanctuary, Himalaya, Gurung, and Basanta—discovering the diverse beauty and intriguing village cultures.

The sacred Fishtail Mountain is constantly in your sights, with all of the hillside lodges offering prime views of the mountain surrounding Annapurnas. Treks between lodges last from three to five hours and are at a moderate pace, taking care to consider all party members' skill levels. Ker & Downey Nepal employs local Gurkah guides who are eager to share their heritage and are also privy to secret trekking routes, often taking the road less traveled and avoiding the throngs of tourist hikers on the main trails.

Pause in Pokhara at Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge overlooking the beautiful Pokhara Valley and the Annapurna range. Rest in the hand-carved stone bungalows and cozy main lodge, with massage services available to soothe your body from the trek. Continue next to the Seti River and float in to the Seti River Camp, a remote retreat accessed only by boat. On the river you will find short rapids of no more than Grade 2, expertly navigated by your guide. Enjoy the silence of the tented camp, relaxing in hammocks and around the nightly campfire.

Raft away from Seti River Camp and transfer to Chitwan National Park, where the Asian rhinoceros, Indian bison and, if you're lucky, the Royal Bengal tiger can be seen from the viewing deck at Tiger Tops Tented Camp. Enjoy the camp and rustic surrounds for two days, embarking on safaris or canoe trips to see the endangered gharial crocodile.

Return to Kathmandu for a tour of the Boudhanath Stupa and spend your final night in Nepal at Gokarna Forest Resort, a hidden haven in undulating forests just outside the bustling city.
