More Details

Your private Vietnam tour begins in Hanoi with airport-assisted arrival service. After completing formalities, meet your guide and transfer privately to Capella Hanoi.

The following morning, join Chef Mai for an introduction to the city’s culinary traditions. Together, explore markets, food stalls, cafés, and specialty restaurants. Along the way, sample everyday ingredients and regional dishes.

Later, visit Quang Phu Cau Incense Village. Here, photograph bamboo preparation, colorful dyeing, and the creation of incense paste.

The next day brings a private Jeep tour through Hanoi. Visit Tran Quoc Temple, the Temple of Literature, the French Quarter, and more. Afterward, attend a private water puppet performance at a local artisan’s theater. Then, meet a Hanoi family in their ancestral home. Over lotus tea and traditional cakes, learn about nine generations of family history.

Next, travel privately to Mai Chau and settle into Avana Retreat. The property rests among mountains, forest, streams, and ethnic villages.

During your stay, visit a village inhabited by the Muong community. Then, trek through landscapes dotted with Hmong homes and farmland. A picnic lunch provides time to pause among the mountains. That evening, enjoy a private dining experience beside the retreat’s waterfall.

The following day, hike through nearby forest to a peaceful mountain viewpoint. Along the way, visit a local home and hear stories about village customs. Afterward, return to Avana Retreat for an afternoon at leisure.

Then, fly from Hanoi to Hue and transfer to Azerai La Residence.

Begin your exploration with the royal tombs of Minh Mang and Khai Dinh. Next, visit Hue’s historic Citadel, and afterward, continue to Vong Canh Hill for views across the Perfume River. Visit the 400-year-old Thien Mu Pagoda before boarding a private sunset cruise back to Hue.

The next day, explore the countryside from the back of a scooter. Meet conical hat makers, fishermen, rice farmers, and village families. Also, pause at Thanh Toan Bridge and the village of Thuy Xuan. On the return, choose a combination of motorbike and river travel. Alternatively, continue entirely by scooter through the rural landscape.

Next, travel along the central coast to Namia River Retreat near Hoi An.

Enjoy time at leisure before joining a private walking and tasting tour. Explore the Old Town while sampling local Vietnamese snacks. Along the way, see the covered Japanese bridge and traditional meeting houses. Afterward, visit a local lantern maker. Learn about the craft’s history, colors, and forms. Then, create a lantern to take home.

The following morning, kayak through the Nipa palm mangroves. Watch for kingfishers and discover the ecosystem’s hidden waterways. Continue to Duy Vinh Village to learn about sedge-mat weaving. Also, visit a temple used by local fishing families. The afternoon remains free for relaxation.

The following day, transfer to Da Nang Railway Station and board The Vietage by Anantara. This six-and-a-half-hour journey travels through central Vietnam to Dieu Tri Station. With space for only 12 guests, the carriage offers an intimate experience. Relax in a private booth while countryside views unfold outside. Meanwhile, enjoy refined dining, beverages, and attentive service. The route passes rice fields, villages, hills, rivers, and stretches of coastline, making the journey a highlight rather than a simple transfer.

Upon arrival, transfer privately to Bãi San Hô near Quy Nhon.

The next two days are yours to enjoy at leisure. Relax beside the private bay or explore the water by kayak, paddleboard, or Hobie Cat. Additionally, try snorkeling, windsurfing, or e-foiling. On land, choose tennis, padel, yoga, beach volleyball, or scenic walks.

The resort also offers a quiet setting for spa treatments and unhurried time beside the sea. As a result, this coastal stay provides a restorative pause midway through the journey.

Next, fly to Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to Hôtel des Arts Saigon.

This evening, discover the city by scooter. Join residents enjoying “di vong vong,” a local tradition of going out with friends and family. Along the way, sample street food, coffee, and tea.

The following day, explore Chinatown and the old spice district by cyclo. Then, board a private speedboat, enjoying lunch on the water before arriving to the historic Cu Chi Tunnels complex. A war veteran hosts an educational discussion at the tunnels before you later join him and his family over a home-cooked dinner.

The next day focuses on coffee and art. First, learn how Vietnamese coffee moves from berry to cup. Then, try traditional ink wash painting. Finally, join a celebrated artist for afternoon tea in his Hue-inspired garden. Learn about lacquer and inlay techniques before creating your own acrylic artwork.

Continue on to the Mekong Delta with a private guide, who will tailor the day’s touring en route to Legacy Mekong in Can Tho.

Possible experiences include floating markets, river journeys, family workshops, and orchard visits. You may also explore hamlets by bicycle or meet local artisans. Additionally, visit a pagoda, an ancient house, or traditional pottery kilns. A local rowing sampan can also be arranged.

The next morning begins early at the Phong Dien and Cai Rang floating markets. Watch traders display their produce from tall poles above their boats. You can also step aboard selected vessels to sample fruit and hear local stories. Afterward, return to the hotel for breakfast and a quiet final afternoon.

Finally, transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Depending on timing, a guided bicycle ride through Can Tho may be possible before departure.
