More Details

This Georgia travel package first begins in the Kakheti wine region. Upon arrival in Tbilisi, a Ker & Downey representative will meet you at the airport and assist you through customs. Then, your private guide and driver carry you east through beautiful Caucasus Mountains landscapes to Lopota Lake Resort.

Next, you will explore Sighnaghi, Georgia's charming "city of love" with your private guide. A walking tour leads to Bodbe Monastery, one of the holiest places in Georgia. From there, a visit to the ethnographic museum offers a peaceful interlude surrounded by beautiful gardens. Then enjoy lunch with a local family, who demonstrate the art of making khinkali, Georgia's famous hand-folded dumplings.

Day three then ventures to the village of Mashnaari for a hands-on wine tour harvest celebration. Pick grapes and press them underfoot, sending fresh juice directly into a traditional kvevri, the ancient clay vessel where it will ferment into Georgian wine. Together with a local chef, you will then craft such Georgian delicacies as churchkela and mtsvadi. In addition Georgian singers accompany the wine tasting celebration throughout.

Finally, your luxury Georgia travel package continues in Tbilisi. However, you will enjoy a series of remarkable cultural stops at historic sites on the way.

Highlights, of course, include the royal fortress at Gremi and the famous tunnel cellar of Kvareli Winery. Also stop at the Tsinandali Museum, which boasts rose gardens and one of the oldest wine cellars in existence.

You will eventually arrive at The Biltmore Hotel Tbilisi, your base for the next three nights.

The next day, a private tour opens in the old quarters of the city toward the famous sulphur springs along the Mtkvari River. From there, Narikala fortress delivers sweeping views across Tbilisi. And that afternoon, the Janashia State Museum reveals a stunning collection of pre-Christian jewelry and ancient Georgian artifacts.

Day six offers two of the finest day tours from Tbilisi. The morning begins at an open-air ethnographic museum.

Then, the ancient capital of Mtskheta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, draws you into the heart of Georgian Christianity. Here, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and Jvari Monastery mark the site where Georgia first embraced the Christian faith in 337 AD. Indeed, this excursion proves one of the most rewarding day trips from Tbilisi along the Georgian Military Highway.

Finally, your last day in Tbilisi focuses on Georgian art and design. First spend the morning at The Museum of Fine Arts. Afterward, your guide will curate a personalized afternoon of shopping or independent exploration through Tbilisi.

Together, these three days make Tbilisi one of the most rewarding places to travel in Georgia.

Finally, this Georgia country travel itinerary concludes in Batumi, a port city on the Black Sea. The journey there, however, pauses in Uplistsikhe. Here, ancient houses, temples, streets, and a Roman-era theatre emerge directly from the cliffsides.

Upon arrival, settle into Rooms Hotel Batumi, your stylish base for the final chapter of this Georgia travel package.

Day nine then opens on Batumi's beautiful seaside Boulevard. From there, a private tour of Old Batumi uncovers the city's most fascinating historical and structural monuments. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure along the Black Sea coast.

Next, venture to Gonio Fortress and Batumi Botanical Garden, one of the largest botanical gardens on earth.

Day eleven rounds out this Georgia country travel itinerary with a cultural deep-dive into Batumi's history. The Adjara State Museum, nearly 100 years old and home to 180,000 exhibits, opens the morning. Next, the Art Museum adds a creative counterpoint before a visit to the Batumi Archaeological Museum. Here, unique materials from the Bronze Age through to medieval times bring the ancient layers of this Black Sea city to life.
