More Details

Ker & Downey’s Baja family adventure begins in Todos Santos, where your ocean view casitas at await. Upon arrival at Los Colibris Casitas, indulge in a gourmet taco welcome dinner prepared by a local chef. Your three days in Todos Santos are full of excitement. Enjoy a family horseback riding experience along the beach, and try your hand at surfing during a private family lesson at Los Cerritos, one of the best surf breaks on the Baja Peninsula.

Then set off for Isla Espíritu Santo, located in the Sea of Cortez. Your tented camp accommodations at Camp Cecil de la Isla place you in the middle of one of the best marine life viewing destinations in the world. Whales, dolphins, whale sharks, sea turtles, manta rays, and plenty of tropical fish make their home here.

Over the course of three days, spend your Baja peninsula vacation doing whatever pleases you. Yoga, kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, swimming with sea lions, stand up paddle boarding, bird watching, and hidden lagoon wandering are all on offer. Though hanging around and doing absolutely nothing is also highly encouraged!

Please note: Camp Cecil de la Isla is a seasonal camp opened between November 1st and June 30th each year.

Continue your Baja peninsula vacation with a stay at the luxury tented camp Camp Cecil de la Bahia on Magdalena Bay. This bay is one of the best places to see the migrating gray whales mate, give birth, and play in the warm waters. With whale watching excursions offered twice daily, you won't miss out on any of the action!

But whale watching isn't the only highlight of staying at Camp Cecil, there is plenty more to explore at Magdalena Bay. On the other side of camp is a protected estuary with mangroves, abundant birdlife, and dolphins for you to enjoy even more wildlife.

For those looking to be active try kayaking or sand boarding, and for those looking to unwind, soak in the sun on the pristine beaches or relax in your luxury safari-style tent.

Please note: Camp Cecil de la Bahia is a seasonal camp open from Jan 23rd through March 19th every year.

Finally, conclude your Baja vacation with a special lunch stop as you head back to Los Colibris Casitas in Todos Santos. At night, enjoy a celebratory dinner combined with a cooking class. Under the guidance of an expert local chef, learn the "Magnificence of Simplicity" of Mexican cuisine.

With many laughs and tasty bites throughout the night, it offers the perfect capstone to your grand Baja Peninsula vacation.
