Located in a private swath of jungle just miles from the entrance to Panna National Park, Pashan Garh Panna Wilderness Lodge celebrates local design and architecture with stone cottages and a central courtyard sanctuary. The national park is one of India’s smaller reserves but is well-known for big cats and an amazing assortment of wildlife.

Property Details

The 12 cottages of Pashan Garh Panna Wilderness Lodge draw inspiration from local style with slate roofs and dry-packed stone walls. Interiors feature earth tones that soften the sharp lines of the stone architecture and open out onto private verandas from which guests can enjoy amazing views of the jungle below. The lodge’s central courtyard provides a cool sanctuary in which to relax on a hot jungle afternoon.

At Pashan Garh, the entire experience is immersive. The lodge’s kitchen is open and interactive, allowing guests to learn more about the preparation of traditional Indian fare. Dinner can be taken in the main dining area or on its sheltered veranda beneath a huge mahua tree. Special dining options can be arranged in guest cottages or on an ox cart in traditional palanquin style, to get a feel for how the royals of long ago India would have lived.

Guests enjoy incredible twice daily game drives accompanied by a highly trained naturalist into the forests of Panna National Park and along the Ken River, where animals stop for cooling drinks in the warm evenings. Naturalists also accompany guests on afternoon guided walks in Pashan Garh’s private jungle to offer their knowledge of the local vegetation and to help spot some of the amazing bird life of this region.

Your Ker & Downey guide will coordinate with the staff of Pashan Garh to ensure that you have maximum flexibility and opportunity provided by their expertise and ours.

After a day of jungle trekking, you will return to your accommodation to find the staff ready and waiting to help you recharge and relax for the next adventure.
