India Luxury Safari - Endangered Eight India Wildlife Tour - Conservation Jungle Safari Package in India

More Details

Your India luxury safari first begins with an overnight in Delhi to relax after a long international flight.

You will next depart early from Delhi for Jorhat on a regional flight. On arrival, stop at Haroo Charai Tea Estate for lunch with the owner's family. Then continue by road to Kaziranga National Park for your first safari experience.

Spend three nights inside the national park, participating in twice daily game drives in shared Jeeps. Indeed, this park offers an excellent location to spot a variety of flora and fauna. One-horned rhinos, Asian elephants, Barasingha (swamp deer), and a huge variety of waterfowl and birds of prey species frequent the waterways.

One afternoon safari will also include a visit to the Center for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation. Here, learn more about how orphaned and injured wildlife are hand-raised and rewilded whenever possible.

Then transfer to Guwahati Airport for your scheduled flight to Kolkata, arriving in the evening. Enjoy a leisurely overnight in a luxury hotel.

Fly onward to Raipur and transfer by road to Kanha National Park, your second jungle safari package destination. A prime tiger wilderness, Kanha resides within India's Madhya Pradesh state. Protected under Project Tiger, it remains one of India's largest conservation areas.

Enjoy three nights in a tented suite, setting out on twice daily Indian wildlife safaris in an exclusive Jeep. Kanha's dense jungles and riverine patches serve as a playground for Bengal tigers and their plentiful prey. Also look out for spotted and swamp deer, as well as wild dogs, and get a taste of the local culture with a visit to a village school.

A renowned tiger researcher and conservationist will host dinner one evening in Kanha. As such, they will discuss their field experience in the tiger reserves. They will also answer questions on these rare carnivores.

After a final morning safari in Kanha, return to Raipur and fly to Mumbai. Upon arrival, overnight in one of the city's excellent luxury hotels. Either spend the next morning at leisure or opt for half-day tour of Mumbai.

You will eventually board a flight to Diu, and then continue by road to Gir National Park.

Spend three nights in Gir, the last natural habitat of the Asiatic lion. Explore this Big Cat territory with twice daily wildlife viewing excursions in the dense forest. Formerly a hunting reserve, Gir National Park also supports large populations of marsh crocodile and leopards. They, in turn, support a diverse population of other carnivores like sloth bear, Bengal fox, and honey badger.

Finally, return to Mumbai for a final night of rest before departing onward.
