Pacuare River
After an overnight of recovery in Costa Rica’s capital city of San Jose, you will immediately set off for a white-water rafting adventure en route to your luxury villa accommodations at Pacuare Lodge. The pristine terrain along the banks of the Pacuare River certainly bring you up close with the resident wildlife. River otters, jaguars, ocelots, monkeys, sloths, coatis, and iguanas abound. In addition, a delightful kaleidoscope of bird species also makes a daily appearance here. Whether zip-lining, hiking, or canyoning, you’ll find plenty of adventure and animal species at every turn during your stay.
Arenal
Next, your luxury Costa Rica safari continues in the shadow of the mighty Arenal Volcano. From your unforgettable tented camp accommodations at Nayara Resort, you will have the opportunity to explore the lava flows, hanging bridges, and rainforest trails of Arenal Volcano National Park with your private guide. However, your stay culminates with a tortilla making experience and organic lunch served at a local farm.
Bajos del Toro
Continue onward to the hidden paradise of El Silencio Lodge & Spa, located within the depths of the Bajos del Toro cloud forest. This remote volcanic town is ideal for nature lovers, hikers, and bird enthusiasts, since it boasts numerous protected wilderness areas. The highlight here is above all the stunning Toro Amarillo Waterfall – one of the tallest in the country. Enjoy two days’ worth of onsite activities, from horseback riding and mystic mountain hikes to bird watching and zip lining. Though don’t miss out on a special private dinner served amid the sounds and senses of the forest.
Osa Peninsula
Finally, your Costa Rica safari concludes oceanside at Playa Cativo Lodge, a seven-suite paradise situated along the tranquil waters of Golfo Dulce and enveloped by the beauty of Piedras Blancas National Park. Be sure to keep your eyes open for dolphins during your arrival by boat! You will have three days here to explore the wildlife-rich national park. Additional activities include standup paddle boarding, mangrove-ocean kayaking, and marine life discoveries. Or, simply relax in your private plunge pool with the view of the ocean extending endlessly into the distance.
