Arrive in Kigali, and after a tour of the Genocide Museum, your guide will drive you to the beautiful Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge near the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park. Enjoy stunning views of the Virunga Volcanoes while preparing for the exciting days ahead.
Spend your first day trekking amid Rwanda’s mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park with an expert guide and tracker. The group visited varies based on your fitness level and the location in the park the previous evening. Very few travelers are lucky enough to be able to visit gorillas in their natural habitat. The next day, you can choose to participate in a second trek to visit another group of Rwanda’s mountain gorillas. You might also consider a visit to Karisoke to view the graves of Dian Fossey and Digit. Another option to consider might be a golden monkey trek. This trek is a fascinating experience offering yet another chance to explore more of Rwanda’s primates. After your day’s activities, you will head back to Kigali and overnight at the Kigali Serena before your departing flight.
