More Details
This Switzerland luxury vacation kicks off first in Zurich. This compact and pleasant city offers plenty of diversions for travelers of all ages. Explore its cobbled streets in an E-tuk tuk. Then visit a local chocolatier for a private chocolate workshop.
You will also have plenty of time for day trips beyond the city. Spend one day in Appenzellerlan. While here, learn how a traditional Swiss bell is made, visit a local farmer, and learn how a Hackbrett is played from a residential family.
Additionally, travel south for an excursion to Lucerne with a private guide. Go up Mt. Rigi via cogwheel train. Then meet a "Barry," or Saint Bernard, for a walk. The day culminates with a boat ride on Lake Lucerne and tour of picturesque Lucerne.
The final day trip resides in Bern, just west of Zurich. While here, visit the Museum of Communication to discover new worlds of communication together. Explore Switzerland’s capital on foot with its charming old town – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – and arcade-lined streets.
Next, the second half of your Switzerland family holiday continues in Andermatt, a scenic paradise.
En route, stop for a Swiss farm experience in the canton of Uri. You will find that daily life hasn't changed here for decades. Ride a private small cable car, meet cows and goats, and talk to the farmers about their life and work in the mountains. You can also try some homemade cheese and other typical mountain food and drinks, while enjoying stunning panoramic views.
In Andermatt, continue your trip to Switzerland along the Via Ferrata with a private mountaineering guide. This is an exciting, safe, and fun activity that’s suitable for almost everyone, beginners and children included. Additionally, set out on an exciting off-road excursion in an old military vehicle through the mountain wilderness. Along the way, you will have plenty of time to hike or bike together amid the authentic natural beauty of the Swiss landscape.
