Singita Grumeti Reserve
A Year-Round Safari Destination
Located in northern Tanzania, the 350,000-acre Singita Grumeti Reserve is a vital part of the Serengeti Mara ecosystem. It was created to protect the path of the annual wildebeest migration, one of the greatest natural spectacles in the world. With its impressive set of properties that cater to different guests, it’s no wonder Singita Grumeti Reserve, Tanzania has won numerous awards and accolades. While the migration is certainly a highlight in Tanzania, the Singita Grumeti Reserve offers fantastic game-viewing experiences year-round. Because it’s a private park, the properties and guides aren’t limited with their game-viewing opportunities. You can go on night-drives, bush walks, and participate in horseback riding safaris within the Singita Grumeti Reserve. Take a closer look at the Singita Grumeti Reserve luxury lodges. Singita Sasakwa
European style meets East African influence at Singita Sasakwa Lodge. The turn-of-the-century manor house and luxury cottages reflect an old-world charm. They are completely luxurious, with private infinity pools overlooking the plains, four poster beds, crisp linens, and cozy fireplaces. The attached Equestrian Center is home to 18 horses. Riders of all levels are welcome to experience the African bush on horseback.
At Singita Sasakwa, gourmet meals and vintage wines are served in a stone-wall structure carrying the Edwardian manor house theme. Twice daily games drives into the Grumeti Reserve will show you “where the land stretches to forever” and its wildlife.
Singita Sabora Tented Camp
Singita Sabora Tented Camp in Tanzania exudes elegant simplicity in the middle of the Serengeti, with an "Out of Africa" adventure based in classic Edwardian-style safari tents. Reminiscent of 1920’s explorers camp, lavish canvas tents are outfitted with fine antique furnishings, Persian rugs, and air conditioning. Although the tents are delightfully opulent, the camp maintains a classic safari experience in the Singita Grumeti Reserve. Game drives are conducted in open-air Land Rovers and horseback safaris are available if you’re feeling up for a little adventure.
Beyond camp at Singita Sabora, the staff delight in giving guests the full experience of the wild. Whether creating a lantern-lit dinner under the famous acacia or “sausage” trees of the Grumeti, or on the trail of the Big Five in an open-air Land Rover, guests will encounter the best of the reserve.
Singita Faru Faru Lodge
Singita Faru Faru Lodge in Tanzania sits perched on a rocky slope above a river. It is defined by a rustic, relaxed setting with ample living space, large picture windows, indulgent bathtubs overlooking the plains, and outdoor showers to experience nature. Within the Singita Grumeti Reserve, it is positioned on the annual migratory route of over a million wildebeest. However, game-viewing is superb year-round. It is set on a hill overlooking a favorite waterhole. There, you may see herds of elephant taking a sip in the dry season, without even having to leave the comfort of the lodge.
Two rim-flow pools emulate the shape of the waterhole they overlook. Elevated viewing decks next to the main lodge offer guests the opportunity to watch game without venturing away from the Grumeti reserve lodge. However, those who wish to get into the wild will be escorted by the lodge’s professional guides and trackers. Enjoy gourmet meals prepared in the open concept kitchen. Gather around the fire pit to eat, drink, and enjoy.
