Best of Croatia Private Tour - Luxury Travel to Croatia
Pula, Croatia

More Details

Your Best of Croatia private tour first kicks off in the north in the country’s capital city of Zagreb. Over two nights, get to know this city — the most populated you will visit.

Begin with a cup of coffee in the oldest coffee shop in the city. Then continue with a private guided walking tour with your local guide. During your tour, your guide will introduce you to the highlights of Gornji Grad (Upper Town) and Donji Grad (Lower Town).

Cap off your time in the region with a traditional food and wine tasting in Zagorje nearby.

Next continue your Best of Croatia private tour in Rovinj. Along the way you will stop at Plitvice Lakes National Park – a place where Mother Nature shows off her best colors. Your private guide will lead you on a leisurely hike to explore its sixteen lakes, plenteous waterfalls, and wildlife-rich woodlands.

Then continue onward to Rovinj, a sweet harbor town and perfect base from which to explore the Istrian Peninsula. As such, you will have the opportunity to visit several places during your three nights here.

For example, visit the Venetian-style houses and Roman Old Town of Poreč. Also enjoy an exclusive olive oil tasting and truffle lunch in Motovun. Finally, tour nearby Pula with its Roman monuments, temples, and impressive amphitheater.

A Best of Croatia itinerary would of course prove incomplete without a stop in Split. Ker & Downey therefore recommends at least three nights to enjoy this beautiful walled city and its surrounding wonders.

Of course you will have the opportunity to explore the largest city in Dalmatia with your private local guide. Walk around the walls and through the narrow streets of Diocletian’s palace and the old town of Split.

Additional destinations on the docket during your time in Split include the colorful “city-museum” and UNESCO protected Trogir. In addition, visit Šibenik, a gem of the Adriatic Sea situated along the mouth of Krka National Park.

Finally, embark on a private yacht for a day trip to Hvar Island. You will have a chance to explore its ancient streets and lavender fields. Also stop at the Pakleni Islands to visit one of the islands' most popular bays, Vinogradišce at Palmižana. While here, go island hopping and swim in the crystal clear waters.

Last but certainly not least, conclude your trip to Croatia in magical Dubrovnik situated on the Dalmatian Coast. Your local guide will introduce you to Dubrovnik’s Old City Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Indeed, many might recognize its monuments from Game of Thrones.

You will even have an entire day to explore the city at your leisure. Perhaps you can wander the bustling boutiques, markets, and bars. Or savor freshly caught seafood while gazing out to sea at sunset.

Another option would be to walk along the iconic city walls. Or take a cable car up to Mount Srđ for the most spectacular views in all of Dubrovnik.

While in Dubrovnik, you will also have the unique experience to board private boat and cruise to Korčula Island. Indeed, Korčula boasts many secrets, which your private guide will reveal to you. As such, explore its hidden courtyards and alleyways away from the typical tourist spots.
