Itinerary Description:

This journey through Southern Africa affords travelers the finest that this part of the continent has to offer. The Saxon Hotel in Johannesburg welcomes you to relax in their award-winning splendor. The following day, transfer to the remote Okavango Delta by light aircraft and experience the subdued elegance of a traditional bush camp. From cozy Shinde Camp, soak in an authentic Botswana game safari, poled mokoro excursions, and African tales by campfire. The view from the bush of an African sunrise is unlike anything you’ve ever seen. In addition to amazing game viewing, the Okavango is home to the magnificent fishing. Cast your line for fighting tigerfish, the delectable tilapia, three-spotted bream and the beautiful nembwe.

Next, journey to the Royal Livingstone, a five-star resort situated on the Zambezi River just above Victoria Falls. Enjoy two days here as you explore the impressive waterfall.  Then, as afternoon falls, transfer for an adventure aboard the Royal Livingstone Express down the old Mulobezi Line. Travel through the Mosioa-Tunya National park while an elegant five-course dinner is served aboard this luxurious railway, spying game through the train’s windows as the sun sets in the African bushveld.

Continue on to South Africa, the Thornybush Game Reserve, and Royal Malewane’s exclusive accommodations. Peel yourself away from your private pool and embark with trained guides to search for The Big Five in the region. Game viewing at Royal Malewane provides guests with the best opportunities for seeing the natural abundance of big game on the 13,000 hectare reserve.

Finally, end your journey in bustling Cape Town from the comfort of the spectacular Cape Grace. Spend the next two full days enjoying privately guided tours of the Cape and its surrounds. First, take a private journey along the magnificent coastline of South Africa and enjoy a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula, the botanical gardens, the lighthouse and much more. You will also travel by private car to South Africa’s Winelands region. You will be able to tour wineries and should you wish to acquire additional bottles of South African wines, arrangements can be made with the wineries directly to ship your purchases home for you.
