More Details

Your Iceland honeymoon starts in the capital, Reykjavik. Arrive and meet your private guide for a tour of the city. This modern hub is on the cutting edge of green energy and architecture. However, it still retains the charm of a small European burg. We therefore recommend enjoying your first evening in Iceland overlooking the city from one of the luxury rooms at The Reykjavik EDITION.

Next, fly north to Akureyri Iceland’s wild north is a landscape of pristine fjords and  geological formations. Two full days are yours to explore the region and enjoy your Iceland honeymoon. During your stay, the two of you will set your own custom itinerary of activities like hiking, biking, whale watching, and horseback riding. We recommend a private coastal flight to view the otherworldly scenery from above. Consider Deplar Farm—a  remote lodge with an excellent spa—your gateway to magical outdoor activities.

Fly back to Reykjavik where you will be transferred to Iceland’s famed Golden Circle region. Volcanoes, waterfalls, geysers, and glaciers set the stage for more adventure. Make your home base at Torfhus Retreat, whose turf houses are inspired by the architecture from the Icelandic Viking farm.

While here, explore the famed Golden Circle, which combines most of what Iceland has to offer. Highlights include Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and geological marvel, as well as the many geysers of the Geysir area and Gulfoss, Iceland’s most famous waterfall. To top off the adventure, go snowmobiling on Langjokull glacier, Iceland’s second biggest glacier.

After that, end your adventurous Iceland honeymoon by slowing down and cuddled up at The Retreat at Blue Lagoon. On the way, however, you will have a chance to descend into a volcano for some canapes and champagne on the bottom of the crater. You will also have the chance to adventure through the Reykjanesskagi peninsula, filled with large lava fields and numerous hot springs and sulphur springs.

Finally, retreat to the private rooms of The Retreat. Its spa is designed around the saline waters of the Blue Lagoon. Wellness and relaxation are therefore the focus for your last day in Iceland.
