More Details

Luxury travel to the Arctic begins first with four days in Iceland. Explore the small but fascinating city of Reykjavik upon arrival. Highlights include the House of Parliament, Reykjavik Cathedral, Harpa Concert Hall, and Hallgrimskirkja church.

Golden Circle

Spend two nights in the Golden Circle area. With a private guide, visit Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and geological phenomenon, as well as the Geysir area and Gullfoss, Iceland’s most famous waterfall.

South Shores

Next, continue to Iceland's southern shores. While here, explore the stunning Seljalandsfoss and Skogarfoss waterfalls, the legendary basalt sea stacks of Reynisdrangar, and the black sandy beaches of Reynisfjara. You will also have an entire day dedicated to off-roading through Thorsmork Valley in a Super Jeep.

Blue Lagoon

Before departing Iceland, enjoy some time at leisure at the Blue Lagoon via The Retreat. Guests at the Retreat have access to a more secluded, private lagoon and access to the Spa of the Volcanic Earth.

This best luxury Arctic tour then continues in Greenland.

After some time relaxing at the Blue Lagoon, your driver guide will take you to the airport for your departing two-hour flight to Kulusuk. Once there, you will be taken on a 10-minute helicopter-ride to Tasiilaq, with a panoramic view over the fjords and icebergs.

Over three nights, enjoy the best of this beautiful village and its surrounding scenery. Highlights include a sailing trip into the Pack-ice  to see the beautiful icebergs and glaciers as well as a boat tour to an uninhabited hunting village. You may even have the chance of spotting whales along the way.

Return back to Kulusuk for a stroll before your flight back to Reykjavik.

Enjoy a quick overnight in Reykjavik ahead of your onward travels to Norway.

Finally, luxury travel to the Arctic concludes with a week in Norway.

Oslo

Two nights in Oslo provides ample time to visit the main sights of Oslo with your private guide. See the City Hall, Opera House, and Royal Palace. Then travel to the Bygdoy peninsula for a stop at the Viking Ship Museum, the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History, and the famous Vigeland Sculpture Park. Cap it all off with a tour of the National Gallery, home of Edward Munch's "Scream" and "Madonna."

Bergen

A short flight brings you to western Norway and the beautiful town of Bergen. Go on a half day privately guided tour, beginning on foot at the renowned Bryggen. Afterward, continue to the top of Mount Flöyen via steep and thrilling funicular ride. Then stop at the open-air fish market and Troldhaugen, home of Edvard Grieg, located outside the city.

Fjord District

Your private guide and driver will then take you on a three-day tour of Norway's fjord district. Pass by narrow valleys, impressive waterfalls, beautiful lakes, and cliff brinks for unbelievable views of the region. Several ferry rides will also introduce you to the captivating waters and steep mountains renowned here.

You will even have a chance to witness the longest fjord in the world and the largest glacier in continental Europe. Additionally, board the famous Flam Railway Line for a trip up Myrdal mountain and back. A final highlight is driving along "Eagle's Road" with its 11 sharp turns and incredible views.

Along the way, stop in idyllic villages for stays at historic hotels and enjoy picnic lunches in picturesque settings.

If time allows, your guide can introduce you to the lovely port of Aalesund before traveling through the underwater tunnel to the airport for your regional flight back to Oslo and your departing international flight onward.
