Itinerary Description:

Begin in Portugal and Porto with a delicious dinner prepared by Executive Chef Ricardo Costa at The Yeatman, your hotel in the heart of the historic port wine district. Explore the city's history before continuing to the Douro Valley and the epicenter of Portugal's wine country. Enjoy a private cruise on the Douro River and take in the beautiful scenery of the valley from the comfort of Aquapura Douro Valley.

Travel through the picturesque countryside, making stops at several medieval towns, before arriving at Portugal's capital, Lisbon. Located on the top of a hill, your accommodations at Olissippo Lapa Palace provide excellent views and a location convenient to the famous city sights. Explore the Atlantic coast and discover Lisbon's maritime history before you continue east to Spain.

A drive through the Alentejo region nets more amazing, ancient towns before you arrive in Madrid. Take in a tapas dinner on your first night at Hotel Villa Magna, and spend the next two days in Spain's capital city exploring the country's history and heritage. A high-speed train takes you south to Cordoba where you will see the historic quarter and the Cathedral-Mosque before arriving to Granada. From your palatial accommodations at Hotel Palacio de los Patos, set off to explore the fantastic La Alhambra fortress and the quiet streets of the city.

End your journey in Seville at the Hotel Alfonso XIII, a former palace reserved for royal guests. Tour the city to learn about its variety of cultural influences and take in performances from flamenco dancers and the famous Andalusian horses before returning home.
