Calling to mind the classical safari camps of a bygone era, but with all the modern comforts, Banjaar Tola Kanha Tented Camp invites guests to become one with nature in luxurious accommodations overlooking the verdant jungle and grassy meadows of the Kanha National Park, one of India’s largest reserves and the ideal location to spot the rare wild tiger and their prey.

Property Details

You’ll be at one with nature, and immersed in truly Indian culture at Banjaar Tola Kanha Tented Camp. The property is made up of two camps of nine tented suites, each of which pays homage to traditional local crafts and artwork by incorporating them into the rich design. Woven textiles and rich earth tones are used throughout, and bamboo floors combine with the canvas walls to create a luxury tented experience like no other. Glass doors lead out onto a veranda, and the veranda’s location on the banks of the Banjaar River give it the appearance of floating above the ground. This is indeed the perfect place watch your worries melt away.

The serene landscape of the Kanha National Park provided the inspiration for Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book, and it is one of the most successfully maintained reserves in India. Guests will enjoy twice daily game drives accompanied by expertly-trained naturalists as well as guided nature walks that provide the perfect opportunities for spotting some of the reserve’s fascinating bird species.

Delicious Indian cuisine is served on the spacious decks of the guest dining area, and special meals can be arranged in guest rooms or on the private verandas. Jungle dinners can also be enjoyed at lantern-lit spots in the sal forest.
