Tanzania safari – a journey to one of the last great places on earth. With our brand new luxury Tanzania safari, your journey is exclusive and showcases the best Tanzania has to offer, from the peaks of Kilimanjaro to the famed Serengeti plains.
Your Tanzania safari begins at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro at the Rivertrees Country Inn where you’ll have the opportunity to rest from your long journey and prepare for your two-week adventure. The following day, you’ll depart to Oliver’s Camp at Tarangire National Park, set amidst the beautiful scenery and dense wildlife. You’ll have three days of game drives and ranger-led walking safaris with the opportunity from fly-camping excursions.
Next you’ll spend two nights on the edge of Ngorongoro Crater at Gibbs Farm. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to almost every individual wildlife species in East Africa, including the Big Five and the rare black-maned lions and endangered black rhinos. Enjoy game drives, farm-fresh cuisine, and indigenous Maasai spa treatments while at Gibbs Farm.
Your Tanzania safari continues in the famed Serengeti with two nights at Ubuntu Camp followed by two more nights at Namiri Plains Camp. At Ubuntu Camp, you’ll follow the Great Migration as the herds move across the Serengeti. Then you’ll settle down at Namiri Plains Camp, home to the elusive big cats. The area holds one of East Africa’s highest cheetah densities, and it’s only recently been open to visitors. It offers some of the most intense game viewing in the Serengeti.
You’ll conclude your Tanzania safari amid the famed elephants of Ruaha National Park at Ruaha River Lodge, the park’s oldest safari lodge. While there, you’ll have front row seats to a constant parade of wildlife drawn to the Ruaha River and exceptional wildlife viewing on game drives with Ruaha’s epic big game. On your final day, freshen up with a day room at Rivertrees Country Inn once more before boarding your international flight home.
