Heather joined the Ker & Downey team six years ago and serves as our Operations Manager. She has traveled throughout South America, New Zealand, and Egypt with Ker & Downey and hopes to see much more of our beautiful world!
Favorite place you’ve traveled: New Zealand
Favorite city and why: Machu Picchu: I love this place; the climate and flora and fauna are amazing. I wanted to spend a week there hiking around and getting lost around the ruins and Aguas Calientes.
What is the best thing about traveling: Experiencing the different cultures, seeing how people live their normal lives and getting outside the tourist box.
Travel accessory you can’t live without? A comfortable sweater
Favorite plane ride activity: Journaling
Top of my travel bucket list: Chile: Horseback, hiking and camping under the stars
Beach or mountains: Oh, this is so hard!!!! BOTH
How do you take your coffee? Half a packet of raw sugar and steamed milk
If they could bottle your personality what would the label read? The One and Only
Any pets? None at my house
If I were a super hero, I would be: Rogue from the X-Men comic (not the movie)
Two things I can’t live without are: My husband and corrective lenses
It’s Sunday morning at 10 a.m. If I’m not sleeping, I’m: At church, leading worship
My favorite physical activity is: Hiking
One thing I love that everyone else dislikes is: Being outdoors alone with nature as my only companion
The first thing I do when I wake up is: Try to go back to sleep
One thing people are surprised to find out about me is: Usually everything
The last concert I went to was: Tycho
My favorite TV show to watch (or toy to play with) as a kid was: Superhero cartoons; any and all
If I could instantly learn a new language, I would learn: Japanese
On my nightstand (what you’re reading now): My Bible, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (for the 5th time), Emma by Jane Austen (can’t seem to get through it), and The House of Seven Gables by Nathaniel Hawthorne
