The end of the year is just around the corner. How do you want to finish off 2013? Maybe you want to travel to a new destination or start a new family tradition that includes a hand-crafted Ker & Downey journey. Recently we asked some of the sales team at Ker & Downey to share their travel experiences from this year with us and, to get in the holiday spirit, some of their special holiday traditions. Below Sunita talks about her journey to Bhutan, Nepal, and India this year and her upcoming holiday.

I just returned from a magnificent journey exploring Bhutan, Nepal and some truly unique parts of India. I had a blissful morning on the Ghats of the River Ganges in India’s most scared cities, Varanasi. My journey got seriously cultural and artsy in the former capital of the British Raj, Kolkatta, The City of Joy. Bhutan is a country that’s serene as one can ask for, gentle people and landscapes that will leave you breathless. I climbed up to the Tiger’s Nest at an altitude of approximately 9,000 feet. In Nepal I flew over the Kathmandu Valley, soon reaching the roof of the world, Mount Everest, truly feeling on top of the world.

As I look ahead to the rest of 2013 I can’t help but think about the upcoming holiday season. I look forward to cooking a nice meal and inviting friends over for food and fellowship. I also like to ask them make a small donation to raise funds for the communities in need in Samburu, Kenya.
