The Mediterranean Region of Turkey is one of the most scenic in all of Turkey. It is an attractive holiday getaway with palm-lined streets, beautiful parks, an abundance of accommodation, restaurants, bars and nightclubs, and a picturesque marina. This region, specifically the city of Antalya, is full of archaeological and natural riches of the area, giving it the nickname, “The Turkish Riviera.” There is an old quarter in Antalya within the Roman walls, known as Kaleici, and there are many good museums. There is also a wide selection of hotels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops.
