Serengeti National Park
Home to the white bearded wildebeast, this Tanzanian treasure is a large conservation area in the north and even spreads itself out into Kenya, where it is more commonly known as the Masai Mara. Located here is the world’s oldest ecosystem, sanctuary to over 1.5 million hoofed animals as well as the highest concentration of large mammals and over 2,500 lions.
While in the savannah plains of the Serengeti, don’t forget to visit Lake Masak and Lake Lagarja. Enjoy peace and quiet as you explore the wildlife at your own pace, from Hidden Valley to the Moru Kopjes in Central Serengeti to the Lobo in the North.
