Nomad Tanzania Wilderness Mobile Camp

The Nomad Tanzania Wilderness Mobile Camp is the ultimate private safari camp, a lightweight mobile camp that picks up every few days to move on to a new destination, hearkening back to the days of traditional mobile safaris.

Property Details

The Wilderness Mobile Camp accommodates up to eight guests in four tents and can only be booked on an exclusive use basis. The tents include private bathrooms with drop toilets and safari bucket showers, and the camp includes a separate dining tent with a limited bar for guests’ use. While being comfortable and well-equipped, the camp is still light weight and mobile enough to pack up and move on to your next destination in a few days.

Guests are treated to their own private guide and vehicle, so you have the freedom to plan completely flexible safari activities each day. In addition to traditional game drives and excellent bird watching, you can also enjoy walking safaris and night game drives depending on the camp’s location at the time.

From June to November, the camp is located in the Katavi National Park and moves among the Paradise, Chorangwa, and Mpunga areas, highlights of which include the truly remote locales of Mlele Escarpment, Chorangwa Falls, and the Mpunga floodplain. Mid-November through May, the camp is in northern Tanzania where it travels through the Ngorongoro Crater highlands, eastern Serengeti plains, the Gol Mountains, and the Piyaya area of southern Loliondo.
