Five private en-suite cabins comprise the intimate hillside lodge, each with a choice view of the lake below. Guests staying in the VIP cabin will also enjoy a distant view of the Nyiragongo volcano across the border in the Congo. Furnishings are simple but romantic, with bright colors and airy mosquito netting contrasting with the planked floors, walls and ceiling.

In the main lodge, dine in the spacious dining room with an impressive wood bar. The main lodge’s panoramic deck is the perfect spot from which to watch an incredible sunset over the lake and the surrounding islands. Terraced gardens lead down to a cozy beach and jetty, welcoming guests to take a swim in Kivu’s azure waters. On the water, guests can embark on a relaxing canoe trip or thrill on a pair of waterskiis. Guests seeking cultural pursuits may head to nearby Kibuye with a variety of cafes, bars and a relaxed local atmosphere.
