Lima’s historic city center is a part of UNESCO’s World Heritage list, and its well-preserved, prominent examples of colonial architecture are not to be missed. There are also a large number of museums worth visiting in the city.
Leisure activities abound in this remarkable city. There are several beaches not far from the city, and cruises depart from the port of Callao to some of the small islands just off the coast of Peru for sightseeing.
