Okonjima Bush Camp is much more than a luxury safari lodge. It is home to the AfriCat Foundation, recently featured on the Discovery Channel and known for their ground-breaking advancements in relocating captured cheetah and leopard back into the wild as well as teaching local farmers how to develop non-kill methods of protecting livestock.

The luxurious Bush Camp at Okonjima is situated at the edge of a wilderness area and comprises eight thatched, African-style chalets and a lapa in the form of a camel thorn pod. Each chalet is exclusive and utterly private and is designed in the earthy tones of ochre and khaki-green. Each luxury chalet is spacious, and guests will enjoy bushveld vistas from the front of their chalet. The main lodge lapa includes a rustic fireplace, dining area, and the kitchen where fabulous meals are prepared using fresh and fine ingredients. The dining area overlooks a waterhole where game come to drink and rest.

All chalets offer an en suite bathroom with showers, toilet,s and sinks. Luxurious amenities fill the rooms so guests can indulge and refresh. Meals consist of an early morning snack before the days activities begin. A brunch is served after the morning trail and fresh fruits, hot and cold refreshments are served throughout the day. In the afternoon, tea and coffee along with delicious savory treats are served at just the right time. In the evenings, a fabulous three-course meal is certain to delight guests. The lodge is happy to accommodate any special dietary needs with prior notice.
