From its relatively high vantage point, Okahirongo Elephant Lodge stands like a sentinel over the vast plains surrounding Purros. There are seven gorgeous dwellings erected here. Some call them cottages, others call them luxury chalets, but no matter the name, one thing is for certain, these uber-luxurious accommodations are from an African fantasy and will not dissappoint the most discerning of traveler.

With only the capacity for up to 18 guests at any one time, each chalet is luxuriously accommodated in the finest African tradition. One suite is beautifully suited to honeymooners or those seeking romantic privacy. Another dwelling is the Presidential Suite which offers two bedrooms and a massive lounge in which to rest and reflect.

With sumptuous linens and drapes with cool mixes of beige and ochre blends, it appears as if this lodge was built by mother nature herself. Elegance and sophistication is found throughout and is enhanced by magnificent cuisine, service that sets new industry standards, and a fabulous African vibe.

Each bath boasts a huge tub with an equally grand view of the plains, as well as his and hers basins and shower facilities found within and outside of the chalets. In addition, there is a private gazebo complete with an enormous sun bed for relaxing during the day or sleeping under the stars at night. The main lodge offers two lounges, two dining areas, a library, and a beautiful African boma which is used at night should guests decide to dine al fresco. In addition, the main lodge hosts a beautiful pool, the perfect source of chill on warm desert days.
