Chobe Savanna Lodge

Located on the northern bank of the Chobe River in the East Caprivi of Namibia is Chobe Savanna Lodge. The lodge is newly built and is a top luxury lodge that overlooks the floodplains of the Puku Flats in Chobe National Park. Access is by boat transfer from Botswana in the wet season and can be seasonably accessed by 4x4 vehicles from the Namibian side.

Property Details

Luxurious, relaxed and informal, this beautiful lodge is designed in the classic African setting. Sweeping vistas surround the lodge, and it is furnished in African décor with dark teak woods that blend perfectly with the natural surrounds.

Accommodating only 24 guests at any one time, each suite is styled in a chalet configuration, spacious and luxuriously decorated. Each chalet has its own private deck and en suite bathrooms with deep tubs and double sinks. All rooms are air conditioned and have complimentary mini bars for guests.

The main lodge is the focal point for this luxury property. The open-air swimming pool is cool and refreshing and the gorgeous deck provides a beautiful view of the savannah where game, especially elephant, gather en masse. Dining can take place either on the expansive deck or in the open boma, brilliantly lit by fire providing the perfect ambience to your Namibian safari.

Wildlife in the region is diverse and prolific. The rare puku antelope is a special treat for visual sightings by guests. Home to large herds of elephant, hippo, and buffalo, the river provides a place to drink and rest. Guests can also find nice concentrations of giraffe, sable, wild dog, and lion. The bird life here is fabulous and guests can delight in the many species found in the area.
