Richard’s Camp

Richard’s Camp began as a family home for the Roberts family in the 1980’s while they were carrying out conservation work in the Masai Mara and has blossomed into a small, exclusive tented camp where guests can still enjoy traditional African hospitality and comfortable accommodations while on a remarkable safari adventure.

Property Details

The camp includes six large, spacious tents with en suite bathrooms complete with flush toilets and heated showers. Each tent is individually decorated and has either twin or double beds, with extra beds available for families to share.

At the end of an exciting day of safari adventures, guests can relax in the sitting room by the fire or opt for an indulgent bath in an open-air Victorian tub tucked away in the forest. Dining is almost always al fresco, and guests can enjoy delightful bush breakfasts, picnic lunches, and sundowners on the plains.

At Richard’s Camp, your day can be as relaxing or exciting as you wish. Enjoy day and night game drives, guided bush walks, visits to the rhinos or the hippo pools, or visits to the Maasai villages. You can also arrange for balloon safaris, scenic flights over the Mara, or day trips to the beautiful Lake Victoria.

Near the main camp, there is an additional small campsite for a maximum of ten guests in a private camping arrangement. This exclusive low-impact camp is the epitome of simple luxury.
