Elephant Pepper Camp
Elephant Pepper Camp is a seasonal camp tucked away in a prime wildlife area on the northern edge of the Masai Mara reserve. The recently refurbished camp is looks out across the plains to the thundering hooves of the great migration, and guests can enjoy the true bush experience with the knowledge that they will return for the evening to a comfortable camp setting.
Property Details
The camp features seven spacious tents and one honeymoon or family tent suite. The tents have spacious en suite bathrooms with eco-friendly flush toilets and safari showers. All of the tents offer panoramic views of the Masai Mara from their private verandas.
The main area has a dining tent with a “help-yourself” bar, and you can while away the evening at the campfire with the other guests sharing stories of your day’s adventures. The menu is inspired by Northern Italian cuisine mixed with international and local favorites, and the chefs have been trained by the owners’ family. Enjoy campfire barbecues, family-style dining in the mess tent, or a bush breakfast on the open plains.
The camp makes a special effort to be actively involved in environmental and community conservation. When the camp closes for the season, it is packed up with no trace left behind to damage the environment. Camp revenue goes back to support the local community.
Elephant Pepper Camp allows guests to be close to nature, whether while relaxing in camp or while exploring the Masai Mara with their guide. The camp is secluded and has no generators interrupting the peaceful atmosphere. The migration is the main attraction to the camp, but it is by no means the only feature. The area is home to elephants and enormous herds that attract big cats, as well as much smaller game and amazing scenery. You can enjoy extended game drives as well as guided bush walks to explore the details of the plains up close.
