Laikipia is an equatorial region of Kenya located to the northwest of snow-capped Mount Kenya. Within Laikipia lies an enormous amount of wildlife and game as it forms part of the Ewaso ecosystem. Laikipia is also known to be one of the last refuges for the rare black rhino and is home to the largest elephant population outside of Kenya's national parks and reserves.
