Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv is the second largest city in the nation of Israel. The city is a burgeoning growth on the Mediterranean coastline with a large urban population and lies in the largest metropolitan area, Gush Dan. Tel Aviv finds its roots back in the early twentieth century, outlying the port city of Jaffa. Soon Tel Aviv’s growth edged Jaffa’s, and the two became one municipality. Tel Aviv’s White City was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003 and has become a popular tourist site.

Tel Aviv is an economic center and a wealthy one at that. Its beaches, bars, upscale shopping, and great weather have made it an immensely popular tourist destination and the country’s cultural capital.
